phtthp:
RI had put above clause, in their CO letter.
Not all schools, at least not to RI.dunma:

If you dont put the school as first choice, you will be allocated the first choice school that you have filled in.
Is not that NUSH will take away the CO, just that you will not be allocated to NUSH. Unless your first choice is on WL and no space for conversion to CO, then you will be allocated to NUSH. This applies to.all school.
RI CO letter stated and highlighted \"provided that he indicates Raffles Institution as his top preference\", my understanding is that one will miss it if putting as 2nd.
Did RGS also put the same clause
as RI, inside RGS CO letter ?
We haven't received RGS snail mail as yet. Anyone? -

It was mentioned in earlier chats that after 31st, CO and WL is sent to MOE. MOE will be the clearing house for such. If it is in MOE’s FAQ 1) WL 2) CO (example mentioned in earlier thread), shouldnt the policy applies to all schools? Its possible exception can be made for SST, NUSH and SOTA as they are different from the other schools, but all other schools should follow same MOE’s guideline.
And would the school actually get to see what an individual puts as first choice or is it MOE that uses its computer to automatically sort out all WL and COs?
I think it is best to clarify with the school or MOE if in doubt. -
My friend’s dd was given co by st nic and wl by nygh. Her dd prefer nygh. What are her chances for nygh?
-
NYGH WL is as good as a CO. My DD had a WL last year and like what Mdm Heng would have mentioned at the briefing, based on past 11 year records, all WL traditionally would be converted to a CO, except for Year 2014.

Anyone has not yet received DHS snail mail?

I'm not understanding this ... are they saying most their COs turned down offer? Thanks. -

They use statistical data from the past years to correctly estimate the number of people accepting / rejecting the offers and also did not over-commit the CO/ WL numbers? -

Thats exactly what is written in my son's NUSH WL letter too.... it clearly says place is Only confirmed if you put NUSH as your 1st choice.kash313:

You might want to check this again with the school. According to the CO letter I've received, the place is only confirmed if my child ranks it as first choice in the option form.
Yes if for WL, MUST put as 1st choice to be considered.
Could be the case the student has 2 WL. So can still put them in rank order and if first choice WL did not get converted to CO, can still be considered for second choice WL ? So can still put NUSH WL as second choice if required ?
