They've also posed many decent parliamentary questions.
The quality of the questions is there. Just that many are more legislators than town councillors, so they need to work harder in that department of spring cleaning etc. Hope the successors and young WP can quickly learn a thing or two from the 3 seniors before they are declared bankrupt. -

No, a President will be heard, good or bad. Because the President must send condolences alongside the PM each time there's a natural disaster, terror attack, demise of another head of state; or happy messages to her people on NDP, etc.Zappy:
Plus our elected President has a chance to prove she's a good President in the ensuing 2-3 yrs.
That will be really easy to do. A good President just needs to be seen and not heard. All I want from our President is a handshake and a photo op that I can hang up on my wall.

Yang di pertuan Negara was created to replace the last British Governor appointed by QE2 in 1959 to prepare us for self-governance. Then came SG independence, so the title of Yang di pertuan Negara was changed to President. Yusof Ishak was Yang di pertuan Negara from 59-65, then renamed President from 65-70. -

That one not counted as \"heard\" lah. It is just like kids saying \"Gong Xi Fa Cai\", \"Merry Christmas\" or \"Selamat Hari Raya\" to relatives.
