Plus our elected President has a chance to prove she's a good President in the ensuing 2-3 yrs.
That will be really easy to do. A good President just needs to be seen and not heard. All I want from our President is a handshake and a photo op that I can hang up on my wall.

To be fair, if you've been following Parliamentary sessions, you would know that Opposition MPs have been doing their jobs conscientiously raising numerous valid issues in Parliament.

However, no matter how hard-working they are, it's still very hard for them to be deemed 争气 when there are just 6 of them.. vs 82 from the ruling party.. -
