Do you know what is Anti TG Ab?
The online searches show articles that seem to indicate it is a different type of thyroid disorder from Graves, more related to Hashimoto.
Is my understanding correct?
The doc in NUH wrote a letter for me to bring to the doc in polyclinic during my next visit there. I have yet to visit the polyclinic. -
I hv suffered fr hyperthyroidism fr almost 10yrs plus. Few months ago, i went fr radioactive iodine treatment as recommended by my endocrinologist n my condition has stabilised since then. Hopefully no relapse. I hv been off medication fr months.

NUH doc did say mine is not serious or warrant any medication.
I am on no medication and I hv body checkup with essential blood tests yearly
So am I healthy enough to donate blood ? -

Is the waiting time for all hospital this Long? Ktph was 4 months. I was on camazol for 6 months. First few months wasn’t regular because I kept forgetting to take medication and the timing was always different. My tsh went from 0.013 to 8.5! So from hyper became hypo? Wondering is it because I did not stop the med for a day prior to the test. I don’t recall being told on this but I read it here. My next appointment is another 4 months… wondering if I should stop the medication. I read also that a person can suffer from both hyper and hypo, it will bounce in btw. Medication also can cause one to become hypo from hyper. For me, I suffered from grave disease(glaring eyes) before my thyroid reading became abnormal. My eyes has since recovered, I think it may return but I hope not. From my understanding selenium was to help with thyroid and eyes.

Did any of you also suffer hair loss? I read too that hair thinning and loss is a common problem link to thyroid disorder. Did your endo also order for test to be done to check. It will be too late by the time hair lost occur and is detected(would means it is quite serious for it to be noticeable). Any one has any experience on this? The Eyes and all the experience is already bad enough and to top it up with hair.... :imdrowning:
