...if a branded bag can last for some years with daily usage, I don’t mind paying too
:lightrod: I'd buy a functional bag which sells from its own shop. -
Go for genuine leather.
Few years ago, I bought a brandless genuine leather handbag from a pushcart inside a shopping mall, paying slightly above $100 for it. The bag/skin is still in good condition now. -
The last handbag i used was a bonia. very lasting, think should have lasted me about 5 yrs. i never take care, push lots of things inside when dd2 was young…and heavy stuff too. like diaper/milk/water bottle, umbrella etc. till the joint of sling broke…but the bag itself still in pretty good condition. og has promo quite often up to 50% off.

Braun buffel is quite long lasting.

Yes, slmkhoo, if a branded bag can last for some years with daily usage, I don’t mind paying too
The 20yo full leather handbag which I cold storage since 2000 did not show any sign of leather degeneration after I used it yesterday. Perhaps because I only brought it to office n left it on the table for most part of the day, only carried it to the car, out for lunch and out for dinner.
I should monitor n see how it goes.
In accounting, if the initial cash outflow is $500, useful life 5 years, depreciation works out to be $8+ per month. The $500 handbag does not seem too expensive

that bag less than 250..i cant remember maybe 180+ to 200+. actually i m not quite willing to part $60 for bags that has totally no leather. give me abit of leather lining then i feel more balance

The $50 bags sometimes call themselves \"leather\", but it will be the cheap kind. -

Do you use the bag daily, and are you \"nice\" to it? Because I only have 1 bag at a time and it gets used every day, and I'm not \"nice\" to my bags! For that price, if it can stand my treatment, leather would be worthwhile if I can find the right size, colour and style.Go for genuine leather.

What brand of casual handbag are you carrying?
I like geometry design handbag. Bought one from Taiwan for $40.
So classy and surprisingly good quality even though not the original. Almost 1 year still look like new and more importantly I'm not bored with its look yet. bao bao look-alike is selling in Singapore too although not sure if similar quality to the one I bought
I use it on a daily basis because the size is just perfect. I don't mind getting an original issey miyake if there's a chance since so 耐看
Not necessary to always go for branded. My gucci tote bag only lasted 2 years and the leather started to peel. Michael Kor hobo bag worst, only lasted 7 months. I threw both bags away. Maybe because I'm quite rough with bags don't know how to 保养. Then again, I have a LV that is 14 years old and still in mint condition so it's hard to say for sure
Anyway I don't think branded always = durability. I go for the design. Whichever caught my attention. Unknown brand also never mind.
I like lesportsac and Kipling zippers. Most of my handbags the first thing that spoiled is zipper. These 2 brands zippers never fail. Very durable. I even threw into the washing machine sometimes -
