I heard Mr Chan Poh Meng is retiring and will be replaced by Mr Frederick Yeo, Principal of Crest Secondary School. Mr Yeo was previously RI Vice Principal about 10 years ago.

Is Mr Chan retiring due to health reasons?

Not sure. No official announcement yet.
The news is out today!

Heard students can put in a request to change House but both DH & DS didn't think it was necessary. Both are happy to be from different houses. LoL šŸ˜‚

PS : Where's the venue for Y4 GradNite this year ?

I didn't know can request to change House. I thought it will be nice if DS is in the same House as DH. However, just now I asked DS and he said House is not meaningful so no difference whether he is in the same House as his dad or not. 🤷

DS said the venue for GradNite not decided yet. They have conducted survey though.

Activities are mainly inter-house @ JC, compared to inter-class @ Sec. In that sense, House does carry more 'meaning'' for JC students. šŸ˜„

Mr Chan was my GP tutor in JC. I like him very much. Sad to see him leave RI so soon.

Could be. I think knee op should be ok. I am more worried about his cancer. I heard this morning was the final assembly with Mr Chan for year 1-4.

Last Tuesday (17/10) was the last day of school for JC2. The students put up performances during assembly and paid tribute to Mr Chan (saw on Instagram). Seems like there's no formal graduation ceremony for JC2. No chance for parents to feel EMO leh.. šŸ˜†
