Will there be any parent-teacher meeting for Y1 ? Parents can discuss with the various subject teachers on their boys’ results, and get more info on cohort performance from them.

          Hi iFirefly,

unfortunately, there is no more PTM this year. Last one was end of Term 3.

Yes, sci is now my son's worst subj aft eoy.

Hi Steadyberry, your ds is in which Year? My ds is in Year 3 and the difficulty level for the EOY exams is really unlike any other previous years, for all subjects, esp for Math and Science and even HMT! They have really up the standard! 10 failed the Math 2 paper in ds class

For Y1, Math and HCL were not easy, gauging from the results. My DS class (Y1 non GEP), only 1 boy got 4.0 for Math and nobody got 4.0 for HCL. Highest is only 74%. Is this type of results typical in the past ? We are getting the \"report card\" this Friday. For every subject, there is a percentile profile so that we know how the boys did vis-a-vis the cohort for each subject. Will there by an overall percentile for the GPA ?

Event though there won't be another PTM, you can always email individual teachers and ask for advice or info, or arrange a meeting.

Time flies… the school year is over. I am glad this time last yr ds put RI as first choice. He has enjoyed school and finds the first year school load manageable. He has signed up for SMP and CEP and with 2 CCAs, I wonder if that will be too much on his plate (even with proper time management). And what’s the point of doing SMP at year 2 when they have Research studies in year 3? And for CEP, do the boys sit for o lvl exams at the end of the 3 yr programme?

No, there is no percentile range for the overall GPA. It'll be good if it is indicated.

No it is not compulsory to wear long pants in yr3-4. My DS wore shorts during those yrs unless there were events/functions tt required him to wear long pants.
