I like to check if it is necessary to keep the textbooks and notes esp for maths n science from sec one?
Will the students be tested chinese oral in sec two? So as to prep them for chinese o level in sec three?

IMO, keep the notes for maths n science. The science textbook will be used for reference the 4 years, so do keep it.

I think the boys will be tested for chinese oral in sec 3. In sec 1 and 2, the oral communications and chinese debates are impt and these are graded.

The boys will only be taking the O-level HCL paper in Sec 4.

No, they don't. They will take the HCL O-level paper in Sec 4.

[However, I'm not sure of a small number of boys who didn't do well end of Sec 2 - MSG more than 3 - and who were posted to the SIP class. This class prepares them for O-levels. Will check and let u know.]

For HCL at Sec 4, does HCI allow you to retake it in Year 5 if you would like to improve your score?

I guess you can. However, Dr Hon had said that the boys need to get minimum B4 before they can drop HCL in JC.
Just checked - yup, the SIP class must take CL paper in Sec 3.

Dear Parents


Please don’t take my query as offensive. But as a parent, I’m worried about this.

Do you think or have you ever witnessed putting boys to the all-boy school probably affect their sexual orientation? Because they will only see and have boys as their friends during their puberty. I do not (and will never) oppose or reject LGBT but I only have one child.
