:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Funniest response I've read. But I believe there is sheltered walkway from RI to Marymount Station. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

In that case, RI win lor.

P/S: if you are choosing HCI or RI based on MRT sheltered walkway, I think you are really in trouble

Hmmm…chances are parents already have a good idea what they and kids want esp those high flyers. However maybe there is that small group, maybe the more chill folks, who have not really thot much about school choices til now ?

Chicken rice and nasi lamak again, sorry!!!

What are the pros & cons of RI and HCI? Please share your thoughts.

          Pros and cons:
H comes before R. Helpful if a listing is going by alphabetical order based on school names. RI, however, has less alphabets in both the long and short form - useful if you need to speed write.

RI uniform is white (and white) - unless the student is a female. Could cost you a bit more in washing powder / detergent and bleach over 6 years. P/S: I’m allergic to whiter than white, so HCI FTW.

HCI is closer to the MRT while RI is further. Nonetheless, umbrella is a must for both schools.

Seriously, what are you expecting? Both schools have different culture which may or may not suit your child. Beyond the culture aspects, both schools are among the top schools in Singapore academically where the difference between them is hair-splitting.

My DD Tscore is 266, she is now considering RGS, anyone here has DC with RGS? Can share the school culture and learning environment? Do the teachers really teach and girls are helping each other?

There are also some, whose child out performed their expectations and they are now looking at choices where they hadn’t been considering.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s fair to ask for options and comments. However, when you are able to narrow down to 2 or 3 choices of schools within +-2 COP, it’s usually just an issue of whether the child fits into a particular school culture, bearing in mind that some schools are more than 50 years old. It’s unlikely their culture can be changed at all.

                      Dear Parents

Kindly share your thoughts about pros & cons of RI & HCI. My DS has 276 and now we don’t know whether he goes RI or HCI.
If you know the cultural differences between these two schools, also kindly share with us.

MGS had over 38% of her girls score 250 and above, with the highest score being 281
