As an ex-Crescentian, one thing I can say is that the Chinese teacher Mdm Ang is absolutely fantastic. If your daughter has her, she is very very lucky. CGS does a really good job in preparing students for Chinese Os, so be rest assured. I went from a C5/C6 to A2 under Mdm Ang’s care. Could have gotten A1 but made stupid mistakes.

          Hi

Its that time of the year again. Finally is my turn.
I'm planning to have CGS as one of the top choice for my DD.
          But I live in Woodlands.
          Is it too far?

          Thanks in advance ...
hi i live around woodlands too. May I ask how your DD goes to school if she went to CGS

Contemplating Cresent Girls’ as one of our 6 choices. Any current parent or students can list down the pros and cons of CGS?

Hi, my DD got 249.She was planning to put CGS as first choice but then her teacher also suggested CHIJ St. Theresa's, St. Margaret's, etc. I'm living in Queenstown so Redhill area/Tanglin area is very convenient. DD still likes CGS but I'm sort of afraid that COP will increase from 241 because 2015 the COP was rather high. Anyway, are CGS classes based on how well they did in PSLE with best classes, etc. ? My DD is near the lower end of students planning to enter. How are the P and VP? How about the teachers? Does it emphasise a lot on academics or is it well balanced? Do students with lower T-scores find it challenging to keep up? Someone kindly answer my queries. TIA!

              Cheers! 😄 😄

Hi all, my gal has T-score of 238 which is 3 points below the cut off point for this year. Based on your experience, can you share with me on the probability of her getting a seat if we place CGS as first choice? Appreciate hearing from you soon! Thanks lots

Actually, based on last year's COP, your girl is not considered as \"students with lower T-scores\". Median COP for last year's batch was 246, so strictly speaking, your girl is in the top 50 percentile.

Does she also have HMT bonus points?

Don't think her chance of getting in is high, but nevertheless, no harm including this school in, unless you have more than six choices already and are struggling to prioritise them.

I think your daughter's chance of getting into CGS is pretty high.

Perhaps you may like to read earlier posts to get an idea on the school? Some parents have already shared their views on this school.
