May I check the school hours for Nan Chiau? What are the reporting times in the mornings & typically what time are they dismissed?

Morning assembly and flag raising is at 7.20am sharp (btw the sch is very strict at punctuality issues :p). 1st lesson usually starts by 7.50. For yr 1 and yr 2 timetabled lessons end at 1.45pm, yr 3 and yr 4 ends at 2.30pm, except Weds due to weekly assembly. (not sure whtr there is changes to timing as is quite a few yrs back for me šŸ˜„ )

Last time there used to be trials to start half an hour later on certain days, but alot of us rejected the idea because it simply means that we end later and lesser time to rest and revise at home. Also starting late don't really help to make the day better, commuting later means we are squeezing with all the morning crowd at arn 7+.

Dats also y many of us tend to commute and come sch early and den use the morning time to prepare ourselves in sch bef morning assembly. In the mornings we would usually sit at the quadrangle or in the canteen discussing work and chatting with classmates (and sometimes those kanchiong ppl would just challenge each other to do finish the tutorials for the whole wk bef sch starts šŸ˜† ), those were good memories for me šŸ˜„

              Still the same.
              Weds assembly ends at 245pm.
              Year 3 & 4, Mon & Fri lesson end earlier at 145pm.
For upper sec, be prepare to stay back for extra lessons and weaker students for small class remedies lesson.

Hi, my son is concidering Nan Chiau.

Could anyone kindly list down the pros and cons of the school?

                  Thanks!!! šŸ˜„
The main pros (which most of my friends envy) is the flexible subjects combination.
NCHS offers a wide range of subjects for upper sec, based on students sec 2 result and interest.

Mostly NYJC, a few aiming for VJC, ACJC, AJC.
Most SAP schools students are aiming for NYJC. Not sure why???

At least Nan Chiau don't require Triple Sci to go with Double Humanities (they only nid combined humanities for triple sci). In Nan Hua last time we don't really have an option to take just combined humanities (Nan Hua just want to push for better results 😢 ).
