      Hi,

Can someone helped to confirm even if my kid's eligibity letter did not indicate Japanese as third language, NUSH will still offer the first year students to take up Japanese as an enrichment module (inhouse one)? And only when school starts next year or should register interest somewhere online ? Thanks!

      Hi,
You will be offered the choice to take up Japanese or French as a 3rd language module as an elective, and your kid will be able to choose at the start of the year. You will be provided with the instructions to register then. ๐Ÿ˜„

Does that mean the 3rd languages stated in eligibility letter, is for those who wanna take in moelc?? Should I registered it online or, ignore it and wait till sch reopen then register in nush? Ds wants to take 3rd language in campus instead of moelc. Thanks

My DS just got confirmation to go NUS High. Any of your kids go NUS High and regretted ? How many % stress level higher than taking A Level?

Congratulations! Your son will do well if he has passion for Maths and Science. They will be doing the pure sciences from Year 1.

There is no emphasis on a major exam as A Level as there is weightage on tests and semester exams.

The teachers monitor the students closely and will offer extra lessons if necessary. Do look out for the twice a year PTM with the teachers where the teachers will call you up if they need to update you on your childโ€™s performance!

The selection criteria are very stringent. If your DS does not have what it takes to go through the rigour of the 6 years course, he would not have been selected. So trust the school and your kid as well.

DW brought DS to buy uniform today from the vendorโ€™s shop (happened to be in that neighbourhood today). And his size got no stock. Vendor said shipment delayed and possibly shipment may not arrive in time for the initial few sale sessions at school

I believe if you register online, you will be taking it at the moelc.
They had in-house Japanese class during my boy's time in NUSH...is it still available? One could always take up that course when term starts even when they were not offer by MOE as 3rd lang. I think you have to pay extra $$$ for in-house 3rd lang.

As long as the kids have interests in Math and Sc, NUSH is a very good choice.

Thanks[/quote]Yes. 3rd languages stated in eligibility letter is to take in moelc.
NUSH only offer Japanese and French as 3rd Language Elective besides Chinese and Malay as 3rd language.

MOELC is free but need to travel. In house no need travel with a fee.
You may not get a slot for in house module if you over sleep in the morning of the registration day.

You may register the moelc and try the course there first, if too tiring for travelling, then try transfer to in house. I never try, but someone mentioned it before.
