Thank you MKS. We’re just grateful & thankful. Now waiting excitedly for next phase for sec sch life. As usual, DS kept busy with Coding, outdoor activities and started browsing thro sec 1 books.
Must keep mind working at minimal level & thankful Coding is a constructive way to keep going. O’wise play since Oct completion of PSLE will be hard 3 months later to jack up engine when sec 1 starts. -

Ha, ha… I’m tasked to coach niece & nephew. My hope is to help out a volunteer organization to help latchkey kids with their studies. It’ll be a test how is it like coaching other kids v my own.

coaching and preparing kids for psle is indeed a noble thing to do...there are first time parents who are at a loss. -

My DH did a few years of volunteering & shared that it was very rewarding. He had a boy whose lorry driver father would punctually pick him up after lessons, but when he didn't do well would yell and kick at him. DH had coffee with the father & explain the child's hindrances & specifically pointed out the improvement & time frame that was made. This father became the most supportive and always hold a smile whenever he pick up his boy since.
I shared with DH, if I can teach these kids and hold regular sessions to help their parents take note of areas to support kids, that will sink well with my soul. Btw, I picked this idea up fr Mr Tseng of Academia. It was in one of his parent talk that I made decision that he cld do a better job at a level where I cld not reach for my kids. -

Any more PSLE for you?
Hope your boy did well for his PSLE.
DS did well. Everything swee swee! Buying school uniform alr.
How did yr DD do? Hope everything 美美 for DD too. :boogie:
Now I ask him to give me 3 numbers for DD2’s PSLE next year.
We bought our uniforms yesterday but sec 1 textbooks will only arrive on 21st Dec. The bookshop staff gave me a  look, asking me why I don’t come on 22Dec, Orientation day. -
