2018 P1 registration exercise for 2019 intake

Hi there,

Am checking in here as well. Daughter will be going to P1 in Yr 2019.

As such, would appreciate opinions on the following options that I have:

Option 1: To register her in De La Salle (in Choa Chu Kang) since should be able to qualify in Phase 2A since I am Old Boy. However, currently staying in Yishun. Distance will be an issue?

Option 2: To try Chong Fu which is <1km but not sure if will get lucky and get a place. And am not so comfortable with the other schools within Yishun, should I be pushed to register in Phase 2C or Phase 2CS.

Care to advise pls.

If you have the means and do not mind sending her to CCK (wake up early, long drive / long bus ride), by all means go ahead.

IMHO, DLS may be a good school, but it isn’t exceptional. Plus, the affiliation won’t be applicable to your daughter. Hence, I would rather consider other options in Yishun, rather than DLS.

Perhaps you aren’t comfortable with the other schools because you are not familiar with them. Should use the time between now and application to find out about them and to get a feel of them.

check out the primary schools in yishun and attend open house if there are.
