      Hi all! 😄

Just want to seek some advise (on behalf of my dear) on the best way to wash the white uniform, especially to prevent the shirt from becoming yellowish. (and also the metal buttons) Never washed a full white shirt before... 😓

Will it be advisable to wash the shirt separately or can just put together with the washer?

I wash all the whites separately from colours. Scrub the collars before putting into machine.
Metal buttons kept dropping no matter how strong reinforcement so good to hv a spare or 2 pinned buttons in pencil case.

For me I always rinse the uniform shirt with a little bit of bleach for a while and scrub the collars, den use quickwash in washer with a little bit of Vanish powder and softener. Buttons maybe try to do like cross stitch with double thread on top of the original stitch, and tie the thread after every 2 to 3 rounds. Quick lasting for my DS his uniform buttons hadn't dropped out since year 2.

Maybe this might help too 😄 :

\"An alternative is white vinegar. The acidity of the vinegar will help to break down the body oils and sweat absorbed by the fabric.

To use it, soak white clothing in a tub of warm water and one cup of white vinegar for about 30 minutes before washing as usual with laundry soap. White vinegar also helps to get rid of musty smells.\"

                    Hi Ah girls Mum,

I received the email from the school around 12.30pm. It was sent to my girl’s email given by the school too.
