i remember getting the 'Top' series of assessment books...for Math, Science and English. the other good practice for science would be 'challenging science' by janet sim (published by EPH). both Top series and challenging science is effective near CA and SA.

I think GLM Mathematics Specimen Papers are also based on TOP SCHOOLS papers.

Hi, the teacher who gave this revision schedule wants the pioneer batch of students to do well for PSLE in 2018. It is meant as a guide. Mental health of the child takes priority though.

Already stress after knowing HOD taking over as the subject teachers. Why does school allocate HOD to teach P6 when HOD is packed with admin and meeting with HQ etc? The students will suffer. When HOD not around relief take over which most likely will just ask the class to do their own work. How to complete all the topics by Jun. They are most likely to do like a bullet train. This is really unfair… Really do not know what the school principal is thinking.

I feel you…zoolet. I know what is like, because my DC had one such in P4 and it was never ending to consistently having relief teacher to take ove.

Yup, it is just a guide so that parents have a rough idea on how to revise during the hols. Ultimately, it is up to the parents to pace out the revision schedule of their own child.
Each child is different and have different learning styles. So the parents should know their child better and modify the guide to suit their child.
With good time management and balance of work and play, a child's mental health should be well taken care off.
However, I strongly believe that every parent should be realistic and set a target that is achievable for their child. A qn I always ask myself is \"Why do I want my child to achieve a certain aggregate point for PSLE?\" The answer will always guide me back on track when I stray due to pressure from others in the race to guide my child to achieve good results. It is very easy to get carried away with pushing our child coz other parents are also doing so. Every parent wants their child to score extremely well but the child's physical, mental and emotional well being is also important.
It is ard 2018 and it is gonna be a stressful year for us. So let's start early preparation and may all our kids have an excellent and fruitful journey to the PSLE :rahrah:

i know what you mean...having an HOD teaching is not a good idea compared to the subject teacher. it's just like having a professor attending to you...the consultation will be brisk and leaving you with no chance to ask anything because he/she has meetings and have to rush off to give lectures. relief teacher is worse! don't know what to teach and most of the time leave the class to do work instructed by the HOD.
