      phtthp:

Knowing that if they had continued to do well in Sec 2 (IP) : then they cannot Transfer over to O level track, since they proved that they can cope with IP ? Because MOE will say, \"you can cope with IP, why go over to O level?\"

On the other hand, if these IP students purposely do badly at end of Sec 2 (IP) just because they target to Transfer out to another Secondary school for O level, which Secondary school's Principal will want to accept them in for Transfer, with their poor, lousy year-end Sec 2 (IP) results ?
You cannot transfer within the same dual track school if you clear the promotional criteria.
But you can transfer out of the IP to another single track O level school.
The transfer is possible bcuz they look at the PSLE score and the IP school you are coming from.
The only difficulty in transfer is the child’s conduct, not so much on the child’s results.

Can elaborate more, on why "the only difficulty in Transfer is the child’s conduct, not so much on … " ?

Is it because the child refused to Transfer ?

Really?! My dd was too busy packing for camp immediately after training, she forgot to tell me : )
Heard from her her friends’ sisters did so well in the O levels. They are all 6 pointers raw. Unfortunately IJ TP doesn’t hv many girls doing HMT, not even those abv 250.

Personally I think it’s good for teens, who generally become more nocturnal after they hit puberty? They sleep later and wake up later than primary school kids. And I think NYGH trialled this last year, with many working parents giving the thumbs up cos they got to have breakfast together as a family.

daughter told me the principal is trying out as many girls are always late for school.
waiting for the memo from school.

My daughter sleep at 9.30pm/10pm everyday, because I take her hp from her once she gets home.

Beginning of last yr, I noticed she has developed this annoying habit of whatsapping her friends what homework to do and what training is there etc etc Alot of stuff which she shld kn. Bcuz of this constant whatsapping, she slept super late.
After her hp got ‘impounded’, she sleeps much earlier, knew more about what’s going on in school, spend more time studyg, scores better etc etc.
I noticed her friends are all chattering away nonstop till 1am. They stay so far away from school, small wonder why they are late.
Tbh, I am actually agst late-start for school cuz I wld prefer them to come home earlier, complete their hw earlier, hv dinner earlier, more family time, more reading time n sleep earlier.

i am relieved to know the late start is not for good. i want her to come back earlier too. very dumb to start later and end later. it doesn't make sense at all. she is starting to be rebellious  so i am stricter with her from the beginning of the year.
