hi 1 amber, pardon my ignorance : p UV or venetian are...

      hi hi

uv blinds are 1.5inches in width looks like wood not made of another material that can withstand uv light and will not fade.

venetian blinds are smaller, thinner and made of a more flimsy material.

Both waterproof and operates by similar mechanism, opens horizontally.

I hv a question for those who have blinds in their room. When it is windy and you sleep with the blinds down, it is always flapping? Or do most pple with blinds sleep with air con? Wondering if blinds are good if your windows are open most of the time?

          Hi jenao

          Didn't see your message earlier...

It was precisely due to the constant irritating flapping that I decided to change my vertical and roller blinds to uv blinds whenever I opened my windows. Now, no more flapping, cooler, brighter, classier. Roller blinds are good if you use air con n dun open windows. Hope that helps. Plus, the ago between roller blinds are wider so if you have to put two pieces side by side there will be a one inch gap. Not for uv blinds.

I got my curtains from JWT Curtains through "recommendations" from the internet. Then I realised I am conned! The recommendation by a user "cheerygal" in renotalk, cozycot & other website, i believe is the boss of the company!

Don’t be fooled. My curtains from JWT curtains got stains on it, the curtains tracks are poorly aligned that the curtains cannot be opened & closed properly. The boss promised to rectify after I make full payment, but disappeared & refused to take my calls or reply my repeated SMSes.

I am about to lodge a Case report against JWT Curtains. So, pls beware of JWT Curtains! Do not make full payment until you are satisfied with their works!

I had someone from JB. He was highly recommended by my girl's classmate's mum.

He came to our place, did the measurements while we choose the materials. After he is done, he will come back with everything and install it. You will only need to pay him at that point.

We had 5 bedrooms and 1 living room. All full length, day and night curtain, it cost us around S$1200. No shrinking of curtains as it has been 3 yrs plus and we washed it before.

I subsequently recommended him to my other relative who also used him.

Pls pm me if you want his contact.

              Can I have his contact?

i'm looking for affordable curtain makers; any recommendation? TIA.

Sure. I got my curtains from https://hovement.com/best-curtains-for-living-room/, thanks to recommendation from my aunt. The dealer was so open in our negotiation and I was actually allowed to just do a small down-payment the settle the full amout after delivery. Honestly,I can't complain of anything to do with the curtains.

my parents' place use blinds...and when it is windy, it is very noisy with the flapping.
i am planning to use korean blinds for my new place because changing curtains is really tiring.

                        what nationality?

                        Rome (roman blinds)
                        China (Bamboo blinds)
                        And now Korean Blinds
The \"wooden\" blinds in market now is sort of plastic or man made wood - rather light n Nice, like the korea blind ,can do day n night. korea blind is fabric, but no need to wash type
