2010 DSA(Direct School Admission)

last mth a few top sec schools went to my ds' school for representation/briefing..so just wonder is it the same talk that they will be giving during their open house. :?

usually at open house, you get more detailed info, less of a time constraint on the host (principal, teachers etc )...and get to talk to some of the students to understand more what their school life was like

last year talked to some who got in via DSA sports .... their comment on their academic work are very different from those who got in via DSA academic or S1 posting

Thanks for the update. I do not doubt your boy's experience at all. Similarly, I hear this from friends whose sons went for the interviews and there is no reason to doubt them too. I guess it only means HCI does not conduct interviews in the same format for all students.

Correct, there're different formats. My son was interviewed by a teacher an a student. The interview was started in English at first then switched to Chinese. The student right before my son from the same interview room was interviewed in English.

yep, the 3 students are the dsa applicants.

i want to go ri [/quote]aiyo...ruyu...relax la....don't think too much...if you want to aim for the sky, then u have to work hard and concentrate to study..by sitting there 'hoping or praying' will not get u to the sky...we also wish u good luck that u can get in..even if u cannot get in through DSA, u might be able get in with your psle if u were to work hard. ... or not to one of the top school...So study hard and have a good attitude in life so which ever sec school you go, u will have a bright future :imanangel:

Yes, they'll inform ALL applicants except GEP and arts stream students to go for the GAT, so it's not like you cleared one round.
