Hi, my child says H2 Biology is very hard ans she is totally lost in lecture and tutorial. I found a Biology tutor who used to teach at NJC and before that was at ACJC. His name is Mr Karman Chua. Anyone knows him?

wanted to let my child start small group tuition with him asap. I think if can start an exclusive class for NJC students, it will be ideal.
If you are keen in joining his class, please PM me.
      TQ!

          Hello!
Not that I am looking for biology tuition, but I was a student under Mr Chua once and there really is nothing to worry about putting your child under his guidance! I owe him very much for my foundation in H2 bio when I was still in NJ. Classes have specific objectives with a list of things to be done (and are usually completed), and he teaches with a clarity that really clears up convoluted concepts. I've always thought of it as a shame that he left the school hahaha

Hi, my niece is invited to sport trials for DSA to NJC. But her academic is not very strong. Can I know how will the year 1 be allocated to the classes? Will they group all DSA students with lower PSLE score into 1 class?

Hi skcmummy, JH1s are allocated classes regardless of mode of entry (DSA/T-score), grades, GEP/MS. However, we do notice that children from the same school would be allocated different classes & the number of boys would also tend to be evenly distributed throughout. Classes tend to remain the same in JH2, but with internal banding of MA. Nonetheless, academic planning changes each year so these only serve as a general guide of things past, best to check with school after being given a CO (tea session with Principal, for instance). Good luck.

Hi, not sure if it’s appropriate to post it here. My gal is P6 this year and plans to try DSA through music programme. Any of the parents here, the child is doing the music programme? Can share your kid’s experience e.g. is it very enjoyable experience, etc?

I think alot of the parent here don’t have much experience in DSA through music or CCA. As NJC only started DSA through Non-academic last year.

Most of our kids DSA through academic last time. Mine also DSA through academic many years ago. She is in SH1 aka JC1 this year.
