It's not a silly oversight, just normal politics at play. People underestimate the ease for Malaysia to 改朝换代. It’s an example of UMNO / BN having a lot of institutional power due to past patronage / cronyism (the same that a new Government will face in Singapore if PAP is to lose one day).

Didn't know PKR & DAP never formalised the coalition. Duh...
They said it's Kak Wan (DPM designate) whose party PKR got the simple majority (104 seats) will be the one forming the govt and meeting Agong, not Tun. After forming the govt, she can then pass the baton to Tun. This is in accordance with their constitution.

That's despite the various parties meeting up with RoS more than half a year ago. I wonder what was being discussed in those meeting

If there was really funds going into Rosnah’s hubby’s pocket, I’m sure for justice, the ppl & next govt to show proof & convict nec perpectrators of shameless crime with such shameless figure when they shld be using legitimate funds for the ppl & country devpt.

When Mahathir becomes PM, it will be very difficult for Singapore.
HSR is likely to be postponed for another decade or longer, and Iskander quite gone case too!!
People forgot all about the kris waving, cries of “potong” when talking about Singapore and how he poured money into Port Klang and Tanjung Pelepas to compete against Singapore port. Not to mention the CLOB saga -

Old man will surely barrow a tunnel fr Port Klang to Pahang side to benefit trade going thro M'sia then for Silk Belt fr China to benefit Spore. He alr said at the press conference the One Road One Belt has put M'sia into too much debt for the country to bear. He wants to re-negotiate. So, his govt will not pour any funds in connecting to Spore.
Our govt hv to hold lots of late nite mths to re-strategize how handle this 老将 & hold many more 'friendly' G2G mtgs to keep him warm (sorry pun not intended). -
How can one dig a tunnel from Port Klang to Pahang? The size of the tunnel would have to be enormous to fit one container ship. Not to mention, after spending zillions of ringgit digging, the Thai will announce the Kra Canal before their tunnel see the light of the day and screw both MY and SG upside down.

Not ship. I saw a documentary that indicates if they build a tunnel, ships calling at Port Klang can tpt goods thro over the east side to reach Philippines, Indo, Australia & New Zealand … Don’t limit ourselves with our imagination before such reality hits us. It’ll cut us off totally fr trade, making China’s ambitious plan alr linking to Europe becoming an expansive problem for trade to reach Spore.
Thailand seems like a clip bird now. -
Think Spore still hv advantages in terms of its reputation as in Maritime Ports, its efficiency & ability to execute port & transportation infrastructure is strong. Our govt is strong & reliable for now till some rookie comes along opposing everything we have now. Planning ahead is certainly our strength too, which can’t be seen in our neighboring countries.
The only closest they get in improving their infrastructure is via the China Belt that connects most of European countries facilitating high speed transportation of ppl & goods - credit does not go to any other (country) except China’s Mr Xi. Tun can try to stall it & snub is, but if his countrymen do not mind trade don’t flow thro to benefit his country, then we’re suffering with M’sia. No one wish for Tun to do that. It’ll be lose-lose for both countries.
I’ve high hopes & impressed with Xi & was glad to know his Party supports him as it’s too big a proj to forgo & if well executed, Martime trade might be in the back burner. It’s a lot more efficient by Road!
