Singapore became a circus hosting clowns...what's there to be proud of?

After meeting all the stringent checks of both parties and be confirmed as the meeting place in Singapore made me proud of my country and the foresight of LKY (to always remain as a neutral country regardless of situations that his son almost lose it once when dealing with China).


The intangible goodwill and potential economic returns are immeasurable and put Singapore permanently in history for these mega summit events (believe more similar events will come here in the future IF we hold one after another smoothly).

MINDEF etc will have 'valid' reasons to tell his men the need to be 'operational ready' (nowadays it's quite common for me to see anti-terrorist armed personnel patrolling in MRT stations and trains). It will be another 'real case' preparation work for them in terms of air, sea, and land security (this maybe one of the criteria for Singapore being selected I believe).

It’s going to be a Historical Meet!


I guess we hv to accept this one as a door to more economic benefits to come. Yes, this one will be a biggie & make everyone ard the world sit up. They’ll be ‘forced’ to check where is that RED DOT so chilli paid packed with diplomatic power & safety net.

I am thankful for leaders who’ve learnt not to be too dogmatic in their approaches. I’m learning & reminded every so often. I hope our community hv your wisdom, Hercules. Come to this community to chat with us more. These days we get too many one-sided view that aren’t constructive & worry we get carried away abt things our govt do that stir emotions & try to bring ppl against govt.

It speaks very well that our leaders take neutral stance & held up for our track record of being good broker of peace.

Think many of us are not fully aware why govt need to watch our reserves & they come in handy for big investments of sort.

When our leaders were invited to ChongQing after other countries were included in in the One Belt One Road, and that was after China cleared & put to jail corrupt officials there, I realised many things cannot be clearly spelt out to us - man in the street. I’ll hv to learn to trust the govt seeing each minister working the forieign meetings, summits & signing big ticket agmts.

I don’t like both these clowns, but must learn this mtg is a great opp for small size Spore to prove our big size abilities as a united ppl. Without working as a bunch of chopsticks, we’ll just break on our own. Approved, sans my personal dislike & myopic judgement!

This is going to be a highy charged event, not sure if it will pose as a danger to Singapore....Trump and Kim will be protected by plenty of their own agents both visible and non visible....dunno if there will be assassins lurking in the crowd biding their chance to shoot/bomb/poison the \"other\" leader, also dunno if there's any offshore missile pointing at singapore.....

just hope that everything goes smoothly so that the singapore reputation will not be 毁于一旦 as well. :yikes: :nailbite:

the world will know Singapore is going to host KJU and Trump...these 2 fellas will have plenty of bodyguards especially Kim.
if it is not possible for an ant to get past his security, it won't be possible to do so when he is overseas. Singapore would have to provide top notch security to make sure these 2 clowns will be safe during the visit. this is one reason why hosting them is an expensive affair on top of road blocks and traffic congestion.

since trump will be here, I hope Singapore will stand to gain more economic benefits.

Benefits surpass costs I hope. Govt of Korea & US will hv to pay heavily, esp book all the rooms & facilities on June 12. They can't hv any unwelcome sniper staying next door or going by same lift. :skeptical:

Trump will take several floors for his bodyguards...same goes for KJU. In fact if they stay at shangri-la, the whole hotel and surroundings will be on high alert. Hope they can make it a successful and peaceful one...then they can quickly leave. In the meantime, sign a few beneficial agreements with Trump. I can’t think of anything from North Korea.
Security wise, our ministers will be fully protected by their own bodyguards in case there are snipers. Wonder why Kim agreed to take a plane...I thought he has a phobia taking plane.
