although stress is unavoidable they have to cope with it. -
NPS for intance caters the most brilliant minds in singapore. Most students who get into secondary schools like HCI RI ACS(I) etc

It also trains students who are not gifted to nearly the level of those who are in the gifted programme -

I think the arrogant attitude is more in part from their upbringing than to be from the programme itself. I have not seen any part of the curriculum inculcating such an attitude and I don't believe MOE has this intend as well.[/quote]Obviously and of course it is never the intention of the system

it also depend on which school the kid is in...diff gep school will have some diff extra activity for the kids (p4-p6 gep)vlim:
as far as I know, there is no supplementary lesson also. But there will be extra activities for selected students or all the geppers..such as leadership course, maths or science carnival or so forth...
