US and N Korea in Spore 12 Jun 2018
-
Not ard to see what’s happening with the 2 characters demanding most attention & saing everybody’s energy. Hope they don’t make a trial of mess but leave us Sporeans good accolades & positive accolades for a country competent in handling visitors fr afar & then future tourists traffic.
When the entourage leaves Spore, then will I fly back to enjoy home sweet home. 辛苦了你们了! -
Trump’s entourage will be BIG…KJU’s bodyguards will be worse! Hope they stay put in one place, otherwise we will suffer lots if inconvenience.
June is a school holiday period. Hope they sit down, discuss peacefully and leave ASAP. -

Oh you've got a good point! Yikes! Our children sch holidays inconvenienced if roads barricade. Hope they stay put at Shangri-la & move out to closed-door shopping only after 10pm. Our kids hv only June before going back to sch & shld not hv their fun curtailed. -
June holidays is fun time for kids. Why can’t these 2 clowns come during exam period? For sure there will not be many on the road. World peace for them but no peace for us.

I suppose that's why ppl usually remark that the rich & powerful gives the common ppl suffering of sorts & ulcers and they don't give 2 hoots or care! We better watch out for each other. -
I believe there are many other places that our kids can go to other than Orchard area during the June hols. It is also only for that few days, not the whole of June.

Now that the historic summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is back on track on June 12, residents of Singapore — the Southeast Asian city-state hosting the talks — shared their views and expectations.
Here’s a sample:
___
Jennifer Yuen, office manager:
“I hope it will materialize as both leaders are so unpredictable. It will be a big hassle and costly in terms of manpower, time and inconvenience, but the summit will put Singapore on the world map again for its capability and efficiency. The meeting will be a good start and small step to achieving world peace. Both leaders need to be open-minded and receptive, and have faith that the other will not renege on what is agreed.”
___
Joys Tan, designer:
“I do not have any interest in the meeting. It could very well end as an embellishment in a long line of past historic events where treaties were drawn, but never meant much in the long run. There is so much hype around the meeting that it has become a public display of fake politeness and geniality. Both parties need to subsequently keep communicating, without this dramatic display in order for this meeting to be meaningful.”

Who will foot the bill of this Summit?
-
I certainly don’t want us to hv to foot their bill & clean up their mess.
Whatever it is, whether the final score is 50%/50% or they pay by per room, use of conference rooms, limousine, security personnel, food by each party - whatever they use - must be paid in full. -
Hosting means invited parties no need to pay?
