My DS is in TKSS. He speaks highly of the school and enjoyed himself there. A good balance school, I should say. Teachers and students are like friends there. Very committed principal and teachers. They will make sure you are aware of your child performance and behaviour. His friends are also very well discipline type. I was very impressed by the students council when recently I attended the Parents-meeting session. Very well organised and behaved. When you seems a little lost of not knowing where to go, the teachers or students will come to you any moment. You don't even have to approach them : ) Very committed. My son always talk about his school life during dinner. So, you can see how much he respected the school. No regrets

Thanks for yr advice, have told DD to work hard in order to get in. šŸ™ Is the school work stressful? I understand some schools are having 10 or 11 subjects including 3rd language to be examinable but I understand the TTKS does not have to study a 3rd language? am I right? So hopefully she has more time to study the other subjects.. šŸ˜„

Third language is only made available to students who are in top 10 percent in singapore, typically ranging from 249-251. Hence, if not above/in the range, there is no way you can take a third language (except for arabic, malay special, and chinese special)

They do not have 3rd language. In fact, they have enrichment for all the subjects thru'out the whole week even for Fridays which is meant for the CCAs. Teachers will discouraged you to engage tutors as they believe that the teaching coverage is way enough but as Kiasu parents, we still go for that extra miles and $$$ for a tutor. They even have a so call \"after school care\" for those who are naughty ie parents having problem with their child or students having problem with their work. It is taken care by parents-volunteer. The child will have to report to the library straight after class and stay their and do their work until 4pm. They have a time sheet and the teachers/parent-volunteer have to sign each day. Those who failed to report, they will call the parent straight away. So, students will make sure their behave in order not to go for this classes  So, you can see how committed the teachers and Parent volunteers are. They are all way to help the parents and students. In general, I find the students there have good behaviour and attitude but of course, there are a few black sheeps lah... which school don't :?

              Called TKSS today.

Has school bus one way only.
Students must be in school by 7:20am daily.
Mon- Thur school ends at 2pm.
              Fri school ends at 12:40pm.
Are the one-way school buses serving the East zone only?

                        Not sure.
Perhaps you can give the school a call.
The bus company i think is Tanjong Katong Bus.
                        Probably need to reserve.
Last time they said if i want, i will be put on waiting list as the bus was full already.
