Hi there, I understand that there will be a student’s pack sent out (NUS has started sending since last week) however for NS boys, they will only receive theirs after Mindef has informed NUS admissions office of their disruption so that their academic year will be updated from 2021 to 1819. Hope this helps.

              @ fruiteller..

First, your boy will be asked to sign the deferment letter. Next, he will be declared 'out of course' once the deferment is approved. Finally, he will be posted to admin office with immediate effect. All happened within 3 days for my boy.

Congrats to your boy and good luck 😄

Wow.....posted to admin office...you mean to change their vocation with immediate effect? interesting.
Thank you for the information! Hopefully, he will get the deferment letter when he comes back from his field camp 🙂

                :thankyou:

Yes, all were 'demoted' to clerks, store-men etc overnight (7 from DS' platoon). They had to pack and bring all their stuffs home that very day. No overnight stay in camp once deferment has been approved, with immediate effect. Report @ camp Mon - Fri, 8m - 5pm.

Hope your boy has received and signed the deferment letter. Keep us posted of any good news. Good Luck !! 😄

Sorry to hear that. Hope your boy is feeling better. Did you speak to your boy's superiors ? Any reason(s) given, if I may ask ? Perhaps you can try writing in to appeal. Good Luck !!
