:scratchhead: What do u wish to know, in particular?

Confirm will have balloting. Every single year there’s balloting for SC <1km for Northland Pri. This year onwards will be computerized balloting, so just stay at home and wait for the SMS to tell u successful or not.

If you’re asking for suitable back up schools, sorry I’m not familiar with Yishun area.

Thanks! So...did anybody notice if any of the schools increased their intake for this year’s Dragon babies registration?

The number of places for every school unlikely will increase due to space constraint as schools only have x number of classrooms. However, it may reduce number of places, in certain scenarios such as schools going full single session. In areas like Sengkang & Punggol where there are more young couples with young children, MOE will instead build more new primary schools to cater to the needs in the area.

            Hi all

I live in the east within 1km from Temasek primary, we are SC and will apply for my son under 2C. If we get through the balloting then great and if not, I will go to St. Stephens, hopefully during 2C itself if the school gives us sufficient early warning.
My husband and son are both baptized Catholics and I'm also contemplating using the 2B phase to attempt SJI. We will def need to ballot if I'm reading the KP balloting history chart properly (ballotting in 2B for SC over 2kms for past 12 yrs!).
Do you think this is a safe enough plan with the 3 options of SJI (technically nothing to lose as I would not have applied to any other school in 2B anyway, so if we get lucky then great). Any inputs or ideas much appreciated 🙂 good luck to all, counting down now...

Yes you have nothing to lose. Just do it this way and trust God to assign the most suitable school for your son:
                  - Phase 2B: register for SJIJ. If don’t get a place, then go to next phase
                  - Phase 2C: register for Temasek Pri. If don’t get a place, then go to next phase
                  - Phase 2C(S): register for St Stephens. Confirm will get a place.
You are blessed to have so many chances at this “game”.
