2018 PSLE Discussions & Strategies (Born in 2006)

Hello All, Do you know any book or internet resource to find Maths misconception questions asked normally in PSLE.

Asking a slightly off-topic question. DD is in P6 and taking PSLE in about 3 months time. She has shoot up in height this year and her uniform is now slightly short now (pinafore about 3-4cm above knee). Given she has only 3 months to go, I am unwilling to buy a new set of uniform. A mummy highlighted to me that the oral examiner may unknowingly penalized my girl in the oral in view of her attire (short pinafore). While oral is not quite like job interview where appearance does count in a certain manner, will being neat and tidy be alright? She is a prefect and is really those guai-guai look student (so the worry is really on my part) While the pinafore is shorter, it is not very short. And it is kind of awkward to "borrow" a longer pinafore just for the oral.
Just want to check if appearance really counts? -
I’d in fact ascertain that the Oral outfit looks brand new, fits comfortably, or just purchase a new set this term. Jmo

It is a worthwhile investment, to obtain the best possible marks she can. (In any case, Prefect has to set a good example for the rest of the school…) Also, not wise for girls to wear short skirts lah. A lot of cheeko pek out there.

I used to donate all of my kids uniform for the benefit of the younger kids. One time my kid hv no PE Ts & admin staff kindly loan a donated one. So, I make sure I pay it fwd.
Then when new Principal join sch, she found a whole lot of crumpled uniform in the Lost & Found basket. She got it washed & pressed & announced that any kid lost items to go get theirs back. Then there were still a fair load left & she told the staff to informally tell the students to exchange their ill fitting ones for bigger ones if available.
Hope all schools can promote such a culture & parents can help each other & not waste good condition uniforms. I know it'll surely help solve What The's headache. :boogie: -
Indeed a headache. Maybe try to unpick the dress hem and see if there is any "spare" length to extend a bit.

What The:
The problem here is there are oral examiners who may unknowingly penalized due to poor first impression. Of course examiners are not supposed to grade children based on appearances (it's not even in the rubrics) in the first place! But it does not hurt if the children can look smarter and give off a confidence look to the examiners.Asking a slightly off-topic question. DD is in P6 and taking PSLE in about 3 months time. I think you can also check your girl's school rules and regulations on the length of the pinafore (some say not 4 fingers above the knee is ok). If it is within the acceptable range, then it should not be a major problem (cos the P6 girls will be facing the same problem). And do unpick the dress hem, it's better than nothing done at all. -
