2018 P1 registration exercise for 2019 intake

What is the odds when it comes to oversubscription? I am within 1km of Henry Park Pri which would definitely have only 20 places and balloting... but any idea of numbers? 1:4? 1:20?
Now wondering if i should just apply for another school in 2C. There is no other school within 1km, and no hope i would feel for Fairfield Methodist / NanHua for 1-2km.
Contemplating trying for CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace (8-9km away but in 2C relatively much lower risk)

Any thoughts/ suggestions? :?: :?:

2C is the last chance that can choose a school. I don't think ppl wld like to take the risk if chance is too low.

Isn't CHIJ Kellock nearer? Why don't you consider this school instead of CHIJ OLQP?

Dear all,

I have received the offer from MOE in early June as a General Education Officer (without teaching qualifications). I will be posted to a primary school on a contract this week and will be sent to NIE for PGDE this Dec. As my daughter will register for2018 P1, can I register her in the same school with me during 2A2 phase after I am posted in a school? Is the chance higher? Thank you a lot:)

Isn't CHIJ Kellock nearer? Why don't you consider this school instead of CHIJ OLQP?

CHIJ kellock is currently at holding location, 121 Queensway S(149059) [Former New Town Secondary School] due to upgrading. It will relocate back to 1 Bukit Teresa Road S(099757) in December 2018.
If register under 2C, distance wise will be out.

Your timeline is very tight. 2A2 registration is on 11-12 July. I suggest you immediately check with your posted school’s principal when you report there this week. I think the key point is transport and logistics convenience - your girl can travel to school together with you, and go home together.

But if your school happens to be one of those extremely popular schools, then there may not even be any places left for 2A2.

actually shenyu should check with his/her principal asap if daughter qualifies under 2A2 since her parent will be posted to the school by MOE...at the same time check if daughter has priority since the parent is teaching in the school.

officially, you are only a Trainee, not a full fledged confirmed school Tr yet, best to ask your boss

Question is how long is your contract? If your contract is only 2 years, but your girl will be at the school for the next 6 years...
