Hi everyone. I’m just wanting to find out the homework load in RGPS. How are the teachers like with students who are weaker academically? I am thinking of enrolling DD there as I am within 1-2km from that school. We are moving back from overseas and I do not want her to feel the ‘stress’.

For P1-2, I would say hardly any homework and stress. My girls had loads of fun in RGPS.

                    P1-2 : zero stress.

These 2 years are honeymoon years, very little homework. Hence, best time to build your two languages foundation well.

                    P4-6 : are stressful years.

P4 is stressful, due to year-end streaming into P5 classes, for Mainstream classes’ streaming. GEP : no need to stream, at end of P4.

P5 & P6 faced high stress : due to prepare Psle. As you know, Rgps is Not affliated to Rgs.

That’s great news! I was freaking out about them being competitive as I’m not like that and I want DD to enjoy her childhood years.

As mentioned they are not affiliated with rgs, so where do most of their students go to? I’m sure not all goes into rgs

I think it very much depends on your daughter’s personality. My 2 girls don’t feel any stress at all, even when their results fall below the teacher’s benchmark. I am definitely more stressed than they are.
