Haha yah my husband is CHS alumni so no choice gotta enter boy’s school first… i have a snake didi can follow dragon gor gor though…

Den it’s logical… Because without the alumni status, you still have to go through to 2B or 2C once anyway. It’s more of a happy headache to have really as competition should be less fierce for SAP school for SG50 babies, as previous year was horse year and 2015 was goat year, a not so auspicious horoscope. I got a Jan baby so he’s a horse in sheep clothing. Haha.

On the contrary, the birth rate for Dragon, Horse and Goat (SG50) are fairly similar. Hence, expect similar competition and outcome for these 3 years. -
I know, but I think the Chinese birth rate amongst the 3 years should be lowest for 2015 granted it’s not an auspicious year and on top of that, many of those that just gave birth in 2014 will not want to go through it again so soon. Hence, the battlefield is actually quite different. The craziness for this year is concentrated amongst the SAP and a few branded schools, in fact the take up rates for some neighbourhood schools are lower than previous years even. Hence, why I think it will be easier for SG2015 babies.

Yes, among the 3 years, it's the lowest but it's not exactly that low compared to other years.
Competition is always concentrated among the SAP and branded schools, more so for peak years. Expect more of the same for 2014 and 2015.

Marymount Convent is nearby and is an easy option if you want a girl's school with zero stress to enter at Phase 2C. -

I guess the parents that will be hunting then will feel the heat. 8% difference extrapolate to 300 places could mean 24 more places in phase 2B and 2C. Should even be nearer to last year's level as 1.08 & 1.11 is closer than 1.18 & 1.08. The other parents should have cause for optimisim.Peiliang:

I checked Dept of Stats and SG50 has 20K+ females births than males at 17K+. Means 2021 registration the girls’ schools jialat haha

Boys school = easier. Co-ed schools = cuter boys got more gals "chase" lor.
