Till 2024 the next heart attack SMS comes for S1 posting

2024 is quite far away. don't frighten the parents. enjoy the primary school journey.
time flies fast once they went pri school -
my DS registration is unsuccessful at phase 2C, can i go ahead to register him at Phase 2C Supplementary at the next available sch but put wait list at the sch of my choice at phase 2C at the same time? Do i go down to the school itself to submit my wait list?

I am gg for Greendale Pri, can anyone share information for this school?
It seems like not a bad school. Have a look at their website. They have several achievements and bonding activities boasted on their website.
And this was last year’s Orientation slides. It gives quite a good insight into the school. Including student care details (if u need):

By the way, in case there are any PR kids who are applying in phase 2C(S), I just noticed that MOE website states this:
“Should any Singaporean child be unsuccessful during Phase 2C Supplementary, the parents can seek MOE's assistance to facilitate admission for the child to a primary school with remaining vacancies.”
Meaning if PRs fail to secure a place at 2C(S), that’s really the end of the road for you. The child gotta go to international school.
MOE will only offer the remaining vacancies to Singaporeans Citizen children. After that, open up to Phase 3 foreigners liao. -

you need to register your child, when the next Phase (2C Supplementary) open.
As for filling up the Waitlist form, in that school which you had just been balloted out -
call up the school you are interested in first : inquire if they still accept Waitlist processing, for students who had failed at balloting Phases (2A1, 2A2, 2B, 2C, 2CS ) during P1 registration.
reason -
some schools had withdrawn the Waitlist (Transfer) form, until end of P2 the earliest, then they will release back the Waitlist form, & put it back onto their school website, because by then (towards end of P2): they want to see your child's (P1, P2) results, plus Cca activities, plus report card child's behavior. For such schools, it means that they are not interested in your child get balloted out, during P1 registration. After all, there are also many other kids, who also got balloted out at 2B, 2C, etc. From the school's perspective, they are not keen on who got balloted out. Instead, they are more interested in what your child can offer, towards end of P2.
But, if the school say u may proceed to fill up now, after fail at P1 registration balloting, then fill up the form quickly and submit.
Waitlist form : is the same as Transfer form
What is the purpose of filling up a Waitlist form ?
The purpose of fill up Waitlist form : is to seek Transfer into another school, eventually (ultimately).
If one is not interested to seek Transfer into another school -
then why bother to walk the extra mile, fill up the Waitlist form, in the first case ? -

I got a friend who waitlist after balloted out at 2C last year. Put her child’s name on waitlist same day as balloting result, saying she lives just across the road and very sad got balloted out. The school called her between Christmas Day and New Years Day. Those final few days of the year. Her child couldn’t even buy school uniform because the vendor was closed. Started P1 in the school without school uniform, but very happy. -
My PRC neigbour cldnt take the rigor to compete for the good schools at P1 registration, so she registered her son for Mayflower Pri Sch & within 4 mths, she got her DC a place with River Valley whilst still in P1. He’s doing very well & bilingually to boot.
