I went the economy way…instead of buying east ocean yam moon cake, I bought 1A yam puff.

satisfied my crispy yam craving. the best part - it’s only $1.20.

At Taka mooncake fair now. Wanted to try pan pacific hotel mooncakes but no booth there. May end up buying peninsula custard mooncake again....

Don’t know why, I seem to have impression that Peony Jade increase prices every year??
FLD, bo jio? I was at Taka mooncake fair yesterday. 😂
Mandarin Oriental’s sea salt caramel with taro is tasty. For their white lotus one is one of the less sweet-tasting mooncakes among the rest. Packaging is very pretty. But I didn’t buy it cos it is just toooo exp. $87 for 4pcs (assorted favours)

😂 Thought you busy with psle mah. I left empty handed in the end, because I still prefer the pan pac mooncake box more leh. 😆 I kind of tasted a lot of 单黃at a lot of booths, no difference to me, except that intercon one taste better to me. So mooncake box became the deciding factor lor, as the previous box is being used as a stationery box for highlighters for dd now.

Thanks to all KSP kakis for the concern for Golden and my state of sanity. 😂

                黄金犬流浪记…

A few days ago, Golden was barking loudly and I wondered what was going on. A few minutes later, DH appeared at the main door! Told DH maybe Golden could “smell” him from afar! DH was very pleased and quickly took Golden out for a walk. When Golden was resting outside a religious building, a helper came out and recognized Golden was their dog! :yikes:

DH asked a series of questions and the helper was able to answer them. Meanwhile, the silly dog actually walked its way into his cage! :slapshead: DH came home alone and we were all surprised where did the dog go!?

Yes, all these years, Golden lived as a caged dog. No wonder I haven’t seen Golden around my neighborhood. Although I pity him, at the same time I felt relieved that it was reunited with its owner.

The next morning I went to visit him. Saw Golden locked inside his cage excitedly wagging his tail and barking when he saw me. Suddenly, not sure why I couldn’t control my tears and I started weeping in front of Golden.

After talking to the helpers there, I felt assured that Golden wasn’t being ill treated and he was not an abandoned dog just that someone didn’t lock his cage and he wandered off. The helpers did offer to let us adopt him after seeing how well we treated him (fur trimmed and groomed plus visits to the vet). Inside this religious building, there’s a total of 3 dogs, previously abandoned by their owners. We are also allowed to bring Golden (or his buddies) out for walks and the helpers are grateful as they don’t have too much time for him (and his buddies), which we did!

I don’t know to feel happy or sad.
I don’t think dogs are supposed to be caged esp GRs.
Golden boy in 2nd photo seemed smiling and maybe he still prefers to be caged.

Maybe that’s why the helpers call him “大笨狗”. 😂

That cage was his home for the past 8 years.

The 2nd pic was taken today. Smiling could also mean he was happy that my daughter was patting his head?
