Heartfelt thanks to all the kind and timely advice from KSP kakis here.

That period of time was really traumatizing for me (and DH). Had many sleepless nights, felt full of guilt, constantly in dilemma, depressed and cried easily. Thus, all the pieces of advice shared so generously with me, really gave me the courage to persevere! So when the rightful owner found Golden, they thanked me as otherwise, old dog like Golden could have been put to sleep already (spca).

      :thankyou:
      lee_yl,

You've gone thro alot with Golden. I heard abt yr sleepless nights but didn't realized it was so traumatizing. It's wldnt be good for long-term but glad it's over for yr family now. At least u hv a very valid reason to 较低 that u're not putting down or abandoning Golden again. You really hv a very resilient & kind heart.

Now can pour yr attention for DD2. All the best to yr girl! :hi5:

poor Goldie. i also feel like crying, after hearing that he had been caged for 8 years so long. No wonder he like to sit down for long time in the middle of the road, because he was caged and nobody bother to take him out for walkie. He very pitiful

Earlier I didn’t know he was a caged dog, I even nudged his butt to ask him to get up and move. 😂 Guess he has been caged up for too long, legs don’t have enough muscles plus not used to walking on leash.

But he does exhibit a bit of alpha male character. He must walk in front else he would refuse to move. Removed his leash once or twice recently, ignore him and don’t look back, he would follow us all the way home. But it also shows he can walk!

Below is one of Golden’s buddies. Helpers said I can bring this Labrador out for walks too!

That Labrador Retriever is a tame dog, quite playful and intelligent, likes to shake hands w strangers. He is much obedient than Golden, when he’s out for walk, he doesn’t sit down it the middle of the road. Younger and slightly smaller than Golden.
After exams you bring your girls down lah.

Today, my 2 girls took 1 dog each out for a walk.
                    Left : Golden
                    Right : Golden’s buddy, Lab.

That’s so nice. A meaningful break from all the mugging. Good to enjoy the company of these dogs without the stress of being a paw parent. These dogs are very lucky too to have 2 new playmates to shower them with attention.

Am surprised that the lab is smaller then Golden. Labs are usually quite broad and bigger.
