      Jennifer:
My elder boy constipated badly when he started on semi-solid diet. Is this what happened to your girl too?

We tried all sorts of ways. My biggest regret was to introduce prune juice to him. Caused him to develop asthmatic cough. My advice would be to see a TCM physician as constipation is actually a digestion issue.

In the meanwhile, you can buy potassium crystals (available in pharmacies), dilute a few crystals with water, add the diluted solution to a tub of warm water and then let your girl sit in the tub for 10 to 15 mins. Then wash up and wipe dry. Also apply vit E cream generously at the anus. Do this daily and the tear will recover faster.

As the crystals stain, it is advisable to wear plastic gloves and also be careful at handling the solution. Hth.
is the potassium crystals on shelf or need pharmacist? any recommendation for the vit E cream?

how to cook papaya and sweet potato soup? can teach me?

currently i give them gold kiwi in morning and dragon fruit in the evening. it does help alot but once my gal eat rusks, her poo poo will harden again.. only my ds like yogurt. my dd doesn't like (hehe..like me..afraid sour food)..
The soup is quite easy to prepare. Just peel and cut the papaya (the green ones) and sweet potato into chunks and put into a pot, add water and boil for 1-2 hrs. You can also add ginger, red dates, peanuts or walnuts. Peanuts and walnuts need to soak in water for a few hours first. No need to add sugar as the soup is naturally sweet.

As for the yogurt, if your dd doesn't like it, you can also give her probiotic supplements. :celebrate:

Dun be surprised, it happened to my elder boy very frequently when he was a toddler. Imagine me digging out bits and pcs with a toothpick while he cried his heart out. Very emotional moments. So glad those days were far from us now.

Kiwi and dragonfruit very liang, I wont suggest taking it long term. Since you know rusks makes the poo hard, then stay away from them. Better to drink more water.

Nature Farm & GNC sell probiotic supplements (in liquid form) for young children.

We usually ask the paediatrician for probiotics. The one my kids are taking is called BioGaia. It's in tablet form šŸ˜„
