Any reports confirming if RV or DHS are going to move? Based on their current premise (esp RV), I don’t think they can accommodate 3000 students?

2019 new changes
Dunman High & River Valley High finally at last start taking in O-level students, for their A-level in Year (5 and 6).
From today onwards (going forward) -
a)
lets call this school, \"Dunman Junior College\" , no longer just merely being a High school.
b)
no more so called miserable \"on-demand\" one, single O-level class, comprising a very small pool of candidates.
But, going forward, will open several full-fledged O-level classes.

Also heard from my friends with children in DHS currently that school has announced that next year’s Sec 1 intake will not be reduced due to the above 80 vacancies and that school will continue to operate on the IP track model and not ‘dual track’ model. Announcement was made in school yesterday. For reference, current Sec 1 cohort size is about 360 students.

is it split equally, ie 50 percent ratio for Arts, another 50 percent for Science, or is it a much higher ratio being assigned to the Science classes, if Dunman is stronger in her A-level Sciences ?
Each Year 5 class : roughly, how many students, based on subject combination ? Around 25+, per class ?(A-level subject combination)
So, next year 2019 JC1 February intake (after O-level Janurary release announcement results), with 80 fresh new, additional JAE students coming in to join 2019 IP students (born 2002) :-
does it mean that 40 seats being assigned to Science stream, while another 40 seats being allocated to Arts stream, assuming a 50 percent an evenly split ratio, between these 2 stream ? -
SAP pri kids in the East whose grades didn’t make it to IP after PSLE may be keen for DHSJC after doing well in O Levels in SAP sec schools like CCHS or AHS. Some top students from CCHS may opt for DHS as it is only a stone’s throw from CCHS.

DHS(JC)'s COP should be rather high.
It’s a welcomed news for people living in the west too. There’s a sandwich group of west-enders who may not qualify for NUSH, HCJC and NJC but are too qualified for PJC. Now, besides ACJC, they have RVJC as another option. -

IP students who had entered Dunman, via DSA contract to study 6 years IP programme, from Year 1 to Year 6 :
MOE do not allow them to leave, due to their willingness to commit to 6 years of study here in this school, during that time when they signed and had accepted the DSA contract back then, when they were in P6.
When they signed the contract back then, the P6 students and parents are fully aware that they have to honor the commitment, not allowed to leave, until they finished (completed) their A level, at Dunman.
b)
that on-demand O-level class (opened to identified IP students, who are unable to cope, somehow) :
usually around 20+ students, per batch.
After their O-level, even if they were to come back to Dunman for their A-level, it will not be able to make up to the number 80, so many ! Also, Dunman have her own criteria set (defined), on how to allow their own O-level students from this class to come back.
So, this magic number \"80\" : will come from 2019 JAE (Joint Admission Exercise) fresh new students, born 2002, joining 2019 JC1 next year, sitting for GCE A-level (2020). -

I noticed DHS' PW distinction rate is always very high (above 90%). Read here it was 99% in 2017 and 94% in 2018? Could be because the same bunch of students had stuck together for 5 years, enabling them to build a strong rapport with one another thru various group projects. They didn't need to adapt to newcomers. My theory could be wrong though. -

Although Chung Cheng High (CCH) O-level students are affliated to Nanyang Junior College, some of the Top students from CCH (located east), will be attracted to Dunman Junior College, if there are certain enriching programme available, but not available (not existing) in Nanyang Junior College.
Dunman Junior College will attract Top O-level SAP school students, plus also Non-SAP Secondary school students who encouraged by their parents, appreciate studying their final 2 years lap (A-level), in an enriched rich, traditional Chinese heritage cultured envirnoment.
The Cut-of-points admission entry for JAE students, next year (2019) : expected to be a close fight, with Victoria Junior College applicants' (candidates) admission entry.
