Is there also one question about counting the number of cubes with 4 sides painted. The students said is too easy but is 3 marks wuestions.

Stop looking back at the exam papers. Exams over, move forward. Don’t stress yrself or yr child. What can u do if realized done wrongly, didn’t do this or that? Other students may hv committed other mistakes under stress too. So, like what Zappy is trying to point tt hat T-score will moderate & differentiate the students. Don’t nick-pick what cld hv happened bcoz it didn’t happen, cldnt happen again & u’ve no more control nor can u turn back.


Do yr best as best mum’s & dad’s can do - let yr child take a breathe, hv some space & then start revision to look ahead to do well. Strip stressing yourself. Non of the worries u hv will help yr health or yr child’s. Do take care coz journey does not end here, nor will it. More opportunities will come along so long as keep up good positive learning attitude.

Hi, my son is really worried for his PSLE math exam... he said his friends all say its easy and he has already lost 6 marks :?: So he thinks that he will get a lower score for maths since everyone might score well. Anyone, help? Will his marks really be broght down? :gloomy:

There's really no point in worrying over all of these now. The T-score calculations are what they are - it's a function of the national average & standard deviation and is meant to differentiate the students.

I really suggest that you help take his mind off this paper, get him to take a short break today then recuperate for the papers next week. Thinking & brooding over the papers now will make him feel worse and is of no use whatsoever. It may even have the detrimental effect of making him lose focus over the weekend.

Just give short answers then move on when he talks about this paper. Show him that you are focused on helping him with the next few papers. Then he will also move on instead of brooding over this. Score low or score high ... will only know in November and there's nothing to be done about it now.

My DC2 said this is a silly moves for P5 woah. Exam is to gauge how much they have understood with respect examination component. I also agreed. Some school don't have CA1 and CA2 at P5 and now with SA1 removes.....I dare not think. Suddenly has a rude shock at SA2?

The bite-sized forms of assessments to gauge their pupils' learning is also quite ridiculous as well, IMO. Too easy. Not a real reflection to the main papers.

I agree. I rather have P5 SA1 too.
