      Estéema:

It's Exam fatigue. Don't talk abt exams anymore.

Bring him out for a short treat. Listen to yr child. His body signaling his needs. If yr child used to studying outside type then asked him if he'll like to practice whilst having his favourite waffle or ice-cream, etc. Not all kids can concentrate studying outside tho, mine can't but my niece loves doing work at Toast Box with mum. I massage my kids everynite during exams time to help them relax. Hv yr child learnt stress mgt techniques? Some breathing exercises. This I call caring in action.

In fact, My DS do things quite contrary - when it was CCA stand-down, he continues to go for CCA & do his usual soccer but complain no P6s only P5s to kick ard with. One year, day before exams, I brot my kids for movie to get them relax - mind & soul. They enjoyed so much was ready for last minute paper practice, then bedtime. Ano year, during weekend, I arranged for a Fri stay-over at LegoLand with cousins & back by Sat nite. Then 开车,动工. My friends think I'm crazy to be so chill :siao: , but I think not coz I noticed my kids had been working very hard regularly, so they seemed saturated MUST help them learn to untighten themselves. They're doing very well now. Auto-pilot alr.

So work out yr own way what u think yr child needs. Every child's needs are different. Hope you find a way & apply your measure to help yr child. This weekend is good to snitch a short time to pull yr child together. Don't let him sink into mind cut off & deflate energy. Energize him again even if no time to try anything drastic. Small effort helps too.

Be a friend to your child. Be a living mum. Give your P6 a big hug from aunty here (simply bcoz of his effort to sit for PSLE). Big hug for mummy too, who noticed & in tune to notice his moods & energy. :grphug:

Thanks, Esteema. I will go easy on him this weekend and bring him out to the park for some cycling.

Yes! Good. Good. Sports are good coz after they expand energy & sweat out, they'll not only be relax but happy coz the brains get recharged with flow of oxygen to brain & endorphins. All helps yr child to regain fresh motivation.

Hope ALL kids get their doze of happy recharge! 加油!

Shade the sides of each cubes which are not painted. Label each cube of sides painted.

Regarding the cube question, it was mentioned that 8 cubes were stacked up to form the above figure. If the whole figure is dipped in paint, count the number of cubes that has 4 sides covered with paint.
              (1 mark).

Regarding this question, my daughter counted the cubes. Since she manually count, how to do working? :?

[/quote]Thanks so much! My daughter drew out the whole thing and labeled the sides painted. She also shaded the diagram. Thats ok also right?

We have a mixture of students that put either 5.2 or 9.4. Anybody can remember the exact question?

if this qn is worth 1mark, and time is limited in the exam, the better way is to think of a shorter method and not too messy. Hence to use reverse method of looking at not painted sides will help to simplified and reduce carelessness.

but if the child has plenty of time and usually very careful, yes of course.

Imagine 2 identical mats overlapping each other in a room. Find the area of the room not covered by the mats.
