For 2019 (P1 & P2), since no more exam, at November year-end prize award ceremony -

means No more "Top 3 students in every class", to go up the stage collect prize award, anymore.

also, no more "Top in level cohort, for 4 subjects" anymore.

And also, No more "Top 25 percent of students cohort level " award, per primary school, to collect $ cash award from their community centre MP anymore.

The uncertainty of the new PSLE scoring system would result in a hypercompetitive DSA in 2021…

Shortchanged of a 'full dress rehearsal'. And the community is shortchanged of a set of MYE pyps. Not good. Not good at all. Fewer compo and oral exposures per year as MOE caps 1 common test per subject per term. All need to sign up for enrichment classes to make up for the lost exposure to score higher AL.

In exchange, it's 4 + 4 + 4 weighted assessments from Terms 1-3. Not chill at all. Just as bad as there'll be a common test every other fortnight in a term...
                  curious ...
not all primary schools in Singapore, have all turned into \"Mixed Ability\" classes yet, with individual SBB (subject based banding) at Upper primary

Recent P4 sa1 (may), just over, PTC (parents Teacher conference) also over.

For those rare primary schools that still continue practise end-of-P4 streaming, into Top two Y2020 P5 classes (have not abolished year-end p4 streaming yet), do they stream p4 students

                  - by the total of (3 or 4) subjects, ie. upon 300 or upon 400 marks, ie. stream by the current existing method or

                  - started to test run, by your total AL aggregate score, since PSLE 2021 psle AL going to be implemented, soon ?

                  example

Those P4 pupils whose AL aggregate (4 or 5 or 6 points), for 4 subjects individually, after this coming year-end 2019 SA2 (October) : will get allocated into Y2020 Top two P5 class ?

                      Thanks for sharing.

Some important points from the article:-

                      1) When they get to Primary 6 in 2021, they will be given the cut-off entry scores of all secondary schools based on the new scoring system by the middle of the year (2021).

                      2) Foundation-level subjects - grades will be pegged to AL6 to AL8 of the Standard-level subjects.

                        also....

                        3) Students taking higher Chinese will no longer gain bonus points for entry into a Special Assistance Plan school but will continue to have an advantage over those who do not take it

                        4) MOE also said that those who score 8 and better in the PSLE will be eligible to take higher mother tongue in secondary school, while those who score 9 to 14 will be able to do so if they do well for mother tongue or higher mother tongue in the PSLE.
