      Dear Bluemood,

Geography will be more real world relevant.
However taking arts based subject as 4th major in Year 4 will truly dissipate focus from Pure sciences which defeats the purpose of excellence in science and maths.

That's a truly a pertinent point as far as the expectation of future batch of NUSH STEM graduates. With Computing and even astrophysics in the curriculum, I think more student will go into STEM-related areas and a very small minority go to non-stem related. :goodpost:

I need advice on supplementary intake exercise. My son had successfully gone through first round but failed second round. May I know what is the cut off points for last year? I learned there’s still an interview for this SIE, so even if you got a high t score you might not get in if you cannot perform during interview? My child got a co from another school but he is thinking of forgoing that co. We are in dilemma.

Understand that during briefing, the school leader mentioned to some parents that last year COP was 267 + must be A* for Maths n Science. Around 20 admitted under SIE last year.

Very competitive and to get in there are 3 selection rounds. But quite a good school academically and holistically!

Is nus high school diploma sufficient for admission into overseas university, or the students will have to take another admission test?

Saw from NUSH Facebook Page that timeline for 2018 supplementary intake exercise has been announced:

NUS High will be holding the 2018 Supplementary Intake Exercise (SIE) for Year 1 Admission, subject to vacancies. Primary Six students who have not been allocated a secondary school under the DSA-Sec Exercise can apply to NUS High School with their PSLE results. Interested students must first indicate interest directly to our school via our online portal at https://oas.nushigh.edu.sg/dsa/ from 1 to 14 November, before the PSLE results are released.

If you are interested to know more, please come for our information session this Friday, 26th October, 6 – 7 pm at the NUS High Auditorium.
You may contact the admissions hotline - 65161708 for further clarifications.

Details are also out in their website:
