Thank you sooooo much for all the advice… Will take note of all the points mentioned and maybe get some name stickers to stick on all his stuff!

Actually my boy is rather small frame and I have heard horror stories about heavy school bags! Hence the sound of a locker relieves my fear a great deal… Just wondering what are they allowed to keep in the locker and what needs to be brought home everyday?
I guess they only have one recess time given that it is half day school? What time is the recess and for how long? What type of food do they serve at the canteen and what’s your experience getting the little one to decide, queue, order, pay, collect change, carry tray, eat, return tray, etc. -

.... the boys will learn their way around. There will be higher Primary boy to buddy them the first few days.
What is ok or not ok in Lockers, depend on teachers, my boy kept his art stuff since beginning of the year. His bag is pretty light with only 2 textbooks and a few exercise book. Although there are certain exercise book which I told my boy to keep in locker as I see it is hardly use, he told me cos that subject teacher don't allow the boys to go to their locker during lesson. They do have a lot of papers, get a folder with with 4 slots and label different subject and one more for parents notice. This will keep papers neatly filed.
Recess is in 2 time slots for different level, think 30 mins (I cant remember) but I do know CHS recess is very fun, during festival like CNY, mooncake festival, the parents volunteer or the school have lots of activities for the boys. Do join the Parent Volunteers if you want to see more of your boy in school ...
I pack buns, biscuits and snacks for my boys everyday, save them the trouble of queuing etc. They learn their purchasing skill when they have to stay back for CCA when is not that crowded.
They have another 10 mins break in classroom at around 12pm where they can have snacks, it will be something they brought to school or purchase during recess. Their canteen do selling those \"unhealthy\" snacks, which I don't want my boys to have a habit of buying those stuff, so I pack more healthy snacks, like granola bars, biscuit etc ...for their 10 mins break.
Do go grab the family polo tshirt early like now, as the smaller size tend to run out when the bulk P1 go buy their uniform in Nov/Dec time.
Enjoy CHS :rahrah: -

Yes. First time in CHS history.
Expect the Horse year and SG50, SG51 year to be likewise. If u are alumni, better move <1km if u can, safer. -

Hi,has anyone received the letter for cat high primary?
any parent support groupchat for cat high?
My boy is also going to Cat High Primary this January.
I have not received any letter except the acceptance letter few months back.
Not sure whether it's a common practice for all school to have an 'admin' day before the orientation day. -
