we had the same problem at home. Do you know what I did? I signed my sons to sports … they are so tired that they cant lift their phones.

If only talking about data usage, you can control by your router if the phone mobile data is turned off. But it do not help to stop your kid to playing with offline app.
The best is educate your kid and show them a good example. -
From Wifi perspective, it can be done as long as your router has QOS (quality of service) function like most Asus routers. Just select the child’s device and set curfew timing for the internet connection.

This has to be one of the funniest lines
unfortunately it doesn't work on my NS going boy whose face is glued to the phone the moment he gets out of camp.

Try the app \"freedom\" https://freedom.to/
Also, if you are an android user, you can use the app \"Tasker\" to customize the time you want data to be switched off. It's a programming tool that is very useful -
By my opinion, kids should not use smart phones too much. I know that it is popular among kinds but I am trying to explain them bad sides of this technology and teach them how to use it properly. I encourage them to spend more time in socialising with other kids

I agree with you, social media is one of the reasons why I don't want my kids to use a smartphone. There's a lot of influences that are not good for them through social media.. I mostly encourage them to read books or play with other kids instead..

Agree! They'll have plenty of social media when they grow up; but for now, something simple and easy to focus like reading/play with friends is the best.
