Your husband took PSLE as a student of Rosyth at P6 right? He lost his PSLE cert too? If yes, he can go down to moe customer service counter, pay $10 and buy a reprint of the statement of results, normally the school name will be shown in the header. This will be sufficient evidence as an old boy for P1 registration purposes.

That’s provided her husband had graduated from Rosyth last time in p6. Eg. Transfered into Rosyth for Gep, and graduated from Rosyth at p6.
If he had ever transferred out of Rosyth into another primary school and the Rosyth archive retrieved out did not keep track of the Transfer, no way to track. But if archive had recorded the Transfer, then ok, evidence is found
The key question they ask is, "What happen to her husband’s report card ? Lost it ?" 2nd question they ask is, "If u say you lost your Report card, then how about your PSLE cert ? Also lost ?"

He gave his exact year(s) of schooling there and they checked all those records but could not find?
Or their records do not go so far back? Which is it?
He can enlist the help of his old school friends (go find on social media lah!) - find out which classes, which form teachers, go meet up with them and see whether they have some tangible records eg official class photo or yearbook etc. Hopefully those could act as proof to the school or MOE, if their records are incomplete.
If the MOE records show that in xyz class in year 19xx he was NOT in that class, then his memory must be wrong. -

Formula is
The year he was born in + 12 years, will equal to that year , where he sat for Psle.
His birth certificate or IC, will indicate which year her husband born in.
If lost report card, lost psle cert and if go down Moe premises want to pay $ 10 to re-print psle cert & they tell u \" no record found, to re print psle cert\", does he still have long time old photographs of (P1 to P6) ex Rosyth class photos taken before, with your fellow classmates last time, years ago?
If u say also lost all these old photos, is your husband still in contact with any of his old classmates, or still in contact with any of his ex / former Rosyth form teacher / subject Tr / ex school Principal ? If yes, maybe ask them if they happen to have any old photos, to help him provide (furnish) evidence, that he ever studied in Rosyth before.
If can trace, can find, use that as a last resort evidence. -

Did your husband remember wrongly? Was is Parry Pri School (one street from the old Rosyth School) which was closed down? lol.
Or perhaps he only spent a year or two at old RS and didn't have photos nor PSLE cert.
There are more men becoming dads at age 50 and above. By the time their kids are registering, they are already 56 or older. Not easy to trace back 40-year-old documents. -

MOE is able to retrieve a copy of the PSLE certificate, just have to pay for it if the original copy is missing. Not difficult to figure out which year one sat for the exam, it's either at 12 years old (for Primary 6 pupils) or 14 years old (for Primary 8 extended pupils) - though I don't think Rosyth ever had the extended classes. -
OT: Not implying it’s the case for the above parent, but sometimes I do wonder if there’re ‘fraudsters’ in the alumni associations. I know of a parent whom no one had ever seen in school before or known to be within same graduating cohort (we know the parent’s age). Either the person changed name or had plastic surgery. And then there were foreigners who only spent a year in the school and still could join the association. It was not uncommon to transfer schools in the past due to urbanisation, resulting in mass relocations of city or rural dwellers…
OT2: I exposed a fraudster (an acquiantance of mine; same age) last year when I saw my alma mater being put as this person’s alma mater under FB profile. I posted a comment, "X, I’d never seen you in school before!" LOL. Later this fraudster quickly removed it from FB.
