If it was a close-knit small cohort small campus not uncommon in the 60s-80s, then possible to recall and trace.

But when questioned teachers’ names, it was hems and haws. Anyway, heck, mind my own biz.

There were some ‘returnees’ (overseas chinese) who only spent a year or so in school during the 70s before migrating. Yeah, one year also counted as legit.

If you are from Bin Kiang School (敏江学校), I’m sure you can remember everyone in school.

For the rest, a school’s yearly cohort can be around 300 - 400 pupils (40 per class), it makes remembering everyone difficult, especially those who aren’t very outstanding or have outstanding characteristics.

400 was huge. For co-ed in newly built campuses after independence?

Old campuses in CBD, esp single gender full schools, were every small, even with double sessions. I'd been to all of them.

Yearbook class photos come with all the full names of the students, as shown in their birth cert. That would be very handy evidence.

But too bad my primary school did not have such yearbooks during those days.

              How about Rosyth?

                Hi,

I’m wondering if any parent of current Rosyth students can advise me.

My child has been selected for GEP starting next year. The nearest school offering GEP is Rosyth. For us, we are particularly concerned about the culture and school environment - whether there’s intense competition/ comparison amongst peers, whether it’s a very stressful environment, and if he were to subsequently find that GEP is not suitable for him, whether it is possible to drop out without any negative stigma.

                Anyone can share their experience?
