Not only is this kind of action inconsiderate but what kind of values are we passing on to our children? I witnessed once that the driver was so engrossed in cutting into the turning lane, that he/she nearly hit a pedestrian crossing at the zebra crossing.
Serendipity:
Been contemplating writing this post for a while... have considered just letting it go... but the frequent recurrence of inconsiderate behaviour is really quite disconcerting and because it's even resulted in a near-accident before, I thought I needed to make an appeal here to all fellow NH parents.
Ever since the move to the West Coast campus, it is common to expect a long queue of drivers all the way from Clementi Flyover to West Coast Road in the mornings. Some driver parents who are too impatient to queue up in the turning lane \"cheat\" by travelling in the adjacent lane (meant to go straight), bypassing the cars who are already queuing in the turning lane and cutting in (sometimes abruptly!) into the turning lane (which has a pedestrian crossing too).
Not only is this behaviour inconsiderate and unfair to the drivers who've been patiently queuing up, it is potentially dangerous. Everyone is in a rush in the morning peak hours. If everyone could follow the traffic rules, the morning drive would be a much smoother and more pleasant ride.
:thankyou:
Exactly! I'm glad you share my sentiments... I've had the rude shock of another car abruptly cutting in from the adjacent lane. Thank goodness I wasn't going any faster or there would have been a collision.
At the exit to West Coast Road, it also becomes more difficult and tricky to filter out because the turning lane wasn't meant to have 2 cars merging into one lane. Sigh... -
It looks like that turning lane is going to turn into a 2 lane road! I suppose it is bad, but it can’t be worse than the traffic at ACS in the mornings.

The vehicle’s number should be noted down, sent to Mrs Ong, so that the child can be identified & be tasked to remind his/her parent to observe traffic rules+road manners.

Sadly there are more than one such driver. If one were to observe closely, can prob spot the same cars repeating the pattern. :faint: -

Only one of the ACS traffic is full of self-entitled queue-cutters...(which I’m so glad to be rid of)...At the *other* ACS, parents all 乖乖 Q up nicely in 2 parallel lanes for morning drop off, I can tell you it is soooooooo civilized and peaceful every morning :imcool: -
Hi parents, can anyone kindly share or pm me your child’s gep journey in NHPS? Many many thanks!

Congratulations falcon! I'm not the best person to comment as my child has graduated...GE curriculum is standardised across all GE centres. What you'd wanna consider is the convenience of the school location, Co-ed or not, other races, MT... It is compulsory for GEPpers in our school to study HCL up till P6 & the standard of GEP HCL is high. To be frank, 普华 students coming in often find that it takes effort to keep up & could end up in the GEP Chinese remedial class. Nonetheless, this journey strengthens the foundation to build on further knowledge. All the best!

Hi, I’m wondering if Nan Hua is offering mother tongue other than Chinese? Other websites said different things. And how is the culture in Nan Hua?

Hello, Which websites are those? If you browse the school (NanHua Primary) one, go to Contact us>School Bookshop tab, you can find our booklists (Y2019 ones not uploaded yet though), listing Mother Tongue books in use. -
