the plastic bag had a hole at the bottom…while taking rubbish out to throw, gravy leaked, making me clean 3x.

I try to save on plastic bag but in the end, had to do so much work.

The plastic bags from supermarkets are getting thinner.

If I find one with a small hole, I find another similar and use them as a single plastic bag for my rubbish

Bring your rubbish out in a container, then you will not have such a problem. Come back just wash the container. I do that even though my chute is just in my backyard. Don't fancy having to clean up all that waste water especially if we are dealing with fish and seafoods.

even the plastic bag from Cold Storage is getting thinner. it was the plastic bag from this supermarket which caused me to do so much work. those plastic bags which have been used to bag eggs are gone for sure, because the sharp corners of the trays will create tiny holes. so I use them for rubbish in the rooms. crushed paper, tissue paper won’t be wet.

One of the BreadTalk plastic bag is the perfect size for putting the plastic egg trays supermarket, thick enough and does not tear. I always carry it in my grocery bag and not use the one provided by the supermarkets.

some of the plastic bags I carry in the pouch which I put inside my everyday bag.

not difficult to do, just a small lifestyle adjustment.

I just use 2 layers of plastic bags to line my rubbish bin. For wet waste. It’s using double the plastic no doubt, but it’s never happened that both bags will have holes in the same spot.

I line the bin with 1 plastic bag with lavender scent (mum bought from Phuket)...and another grocery bag for rubbish. it just didn't occur to me there would be holes. when I go to the supermarket on saturdays, I usually bring a cooler bag with ice packs...then ice cream, frozen stuff and eggs would all be put in the bag.
if I buy liquid detergent, I will get 2 plastic bags as the bottle is heavy.

A batch of muffins just came out from my oven. Very disappointed they didn’t rise this time after I substituted milk with Greek Yougurt. The batter was supposed to yield 12 muffins but it only yielded 10 muffins. Too dry?

Did you add more liquid? Gk yogurt is dryer than milk. That may have reduced the volume. Not sure about the rising.

Could be. I noticed that the muffin batter was dry like cookie dough which could be why it yielded only 10 muffins instead of 12.

Yes, I did added about 1/4 cup of water (although not part of the recipe). This morning I was thinking over why the muffins didn’t rise, could it be the water I added or the baking powder not effective or over mixing of the muffin batter?

The muffins turned out to be like a scone, flat, but taste wise was surprisingly good!

I intend to try again shortly. But we are all sick of eating muffins already. Lol.
