      Just for your amusement

Phase One is for siblings still in the school

The registration form is handled through the siblings still in school

My BLURR one brough back the form some years back and we duly returned the form through the same channel.

Some weeks later, we found to our horror, the whole stack of acknowledgement of P1 confirmation in her file......she was supposed to pass it to the rest of the classmates.....lol
How old was your daughter then ? My goodness, parents then must have been worried sick not to receive that form then. Fortunately, there are 2 days of formal registration for P1.

Phase 3 is for non-Singaporeans/PRs, and registration is on a first come first serve basis.

LKVM, have you decided where to register your child?

Really? That is what I thought initially but someone in the forum clarified my assumption is wrong, it is only that we get 2 vote and PR get 1 vote in the ballot. So, which is right? If yours is correct, it will mean that the Phase 2C if any, will be for the local only and the PRs and foreign participate in Phase 3. Is that right?

                hi optimus,

If there is to be balloting in phase 2B/C, Singaporeans will be given 2 votes and PRs 1. Foreigners are not entitled under these phases (at least this is what I understand to be).

Not sure what is it you are confused with. What you mentioned were two different issues.

Phase 3 - for foreigners, i.e. non-Singaporeans/PRs. These foreigners are NOT eligible for phases prior to Phase 3.

Phases 1-2CS are only for Singaporeans and PRs. In the event that any phase requires balloting (except Phase 1 for which all applicants will be accepted), Singaporeans will be given two balloting slips. PRs will be given only one balloting slip.

                  Hope the above clarifies.

                    Optimus,

Starting from this year's registration, if balloting should take place in Phase 2B and 2C, Singaporeans get 2 votes and PR 1 vote.

                    qms,
From what I observe, there is no balloting required in Phase 2A (hopefully). This annual registration is a stressful period. Why must MOE make Thursday & Friday be those days to register? :scratchhead: Wouldn't Mon & Tue be less stressful...at least you get to know the results the same week.

Haha, I think the confusion stems from \"non-Singaporeans/PR\" ..... It should be \"non Singaporeans/PR\" without the dash coz with the dash, it reads non-Singaporeans or PR, thus :? since PR is already in the earlier phases, why are they included in Phase 3 too? But what qms means is as long as they are not singaporeans nor PR, then they are in Phase 3

Hope it further clarifies and sorry for diverging šŸ˜›

Yes, so far we have not seen any balloting in P2A. Don't think there will be balloting in this phase, because should there be balloting in P2A, it means the school will not have any vacancy for subsequent phases - something which is very unlikely. So, again, don't worry.
