Due to # of DSA seats reduced, I wonder how RGS decided to close down Judo, and not other Sports.

Is it because Judo is not popular in terms of number of participants, compared to other type of Sports inside the school ?

Hi, I'm a student and the principal actually held a talk about this (not specifically, Mrs Poh addressed \"general\" stuff). It's been a while since the school selected which CCAs to stop (I think it was last year) so I don't remember much from the talk, but I remember that they made decisions based on a number of criteria. The student executivee committee of my CCA had to fill up some forms regarding the criteria; I remember two of them - achievements and intake. But you can expect the criteria to be achievements, resources available, etc. Hope my reply helped!

1) What is the starting time of school?
2) When is the new campus ready? 
3) Is it a must to take third language? 
4) What is going to happen to a student in RGS if the student is not performing well and found unsuitable to be in IP programme?

1)All students should be in attendance by 7.20

2) Moving to new campus by end of 2019
3) 3rd language is not compulsory
4) RGS helps all students to become better & do well.

i would like to ask if any of your girls are currently taking 3rd language such as Japanese or other languages? Do they only study the language or would they also need to study things like culture etc? How are your girls managing 3rd language and higher Chinese ?

Pardon my ignorance. May i know why still wan to take third language since it is not compulsory? Does it helps in A lvl or any other benefits?

Some students may eventually decide to take the 3rd language as an A level subject. Those are the ones who persevere and do well. Many will drop the 3rd language along the way. Most take it out of interest.

Just curious what are your reservations about either school? They are very distinct school with very different values and culture so should be fairly easy to choose if you resonate with either values
