Hi, I am thinking of sending my DS to St Hilda’s GEP programme. Would appreciate if any parents can share their child’s experience in this programme at St Hilda’s. Thanks!

Congrats on your DS acceptance into the GEP. My DS is P5 GEP this year. The teachers are very caring and have strict discipline to instill good character building. There will be a briefing at NUSH which all GEP primary schools will have a booth that will answer all your questions. Initially we thought of going to Tao Nan, after going through the briefing, my DS switched to SHPS. We never regretted it as we felt the school was less of a\" pressure cooker\" environment. The school have a very strong Parent Support Group. My DS and I have joined many activities organized by the Father's Support Group. Hope your DS will join the SHPS family.

Thanks for the info! I hardly find any review on St Hilda’s GEP as most would select the other schools. Glad to hear the positive review. We should be going for SHPS as it’s very near our home. May I know how many students are there per class? Thanks!

Glad that your child has made a wise choice chosing SHPS. My DS is in SHPS P6/8 this year. There will only be 1 GEP class in SHPS with about 25 - 26 students.

SHPS is a fantastic school and my son has no regret in choosing that school. The teachers are very professional, diligent, caring and strict. They not only impart academic knowledge, they always instill moral value too. I have seen my DS grows from a young cheeky boy to a grown up teen. Rest assure that your child is good hands in SHPS. Enjoy the journey in GE - challenging yet fulfilling!

Will anyone be interested in forming a group tuition for P6 Science with my son at the tutor’s place along Tampines Street 86? I have requested the class to focus on open ended questions.

Tutor is charging $180/4 weeks (1.5 hr each week)

The class is scheduled to be on Fridays at 5pm- 6.30pm.

PM me if you need more details.

Although the school selection for GEP is long over, would just like to say that I agree with the above comments on SHPS GEP. My DD graduated from SHPS 2 years ago. GEP at SHPS had been a wonderful learning journey. Quite a number of the GE teachers are very passionate in teaching and could really engaged the students well. In addition, the GE Dept is very forward looking. They had long started the students on use of technologies since P4. By the time they reached P5, all the students were very hands-on with their notebooks, doing various collaboration work and project work online.

Hi, May I know if St Hildas Primary school make known to us on the number of SC registered under each phase(e.g. phase 2b) at the end of each day of registration? As I would like to know the possibility to get in. If the change is low, I may change school before the registration for that phase is closed.thanks.

Believe a number of KSP had answered your qestion in the other threads.
You have to ask the school office directly. They are not obligated to tell you.

While they may have made known the status last year, there's no guarantee that they will inform you this year.
Alternatively, while they may not have made known the status year, someone in the office may decide to do so this year.

Therefore, no point getting yourself all worried now. You just have to observe and ask the school nicely this year.
