you shall put it down as the first choice.
students scored 258 also got EEIS scholarship. normally, it is like 260++.
my child's tuition teacher sent me this screenshot. one of her students scored 272+3. it is the 2nd highest of a very good girl school.

So i suppose the score is lower this year.

You have students scoring 258 getting EEIS?? Last heard its 260 n abv, got friend's kid 259 didnt get it. Can confirm?

EEIS is 260 this year. True, it's slightly lower than last year but most school's COP is unlikely to shift by much. That said, any movement within + - 2 points is fairly usual. So a drop of 2 points for COP is always possible.

I got a friend's child got EEIS with 258 ....

anyone can confirm what is the cop for EEIS?
Hi seeking consult.

Daughter is applying for secondary schools. 3 to 6 choices are almost just toggling up and down.
1 to 2 is a big headache. She wants a distanced school. We put that as first choice for her. Yet second choice is about few bus stops away. The merit point is higher than first choice. Do we put merit or choice first?

Thanks for your thoughts.

1st choice how many points from cop?

First choice she is 6 points above.
Second choice she is exact.
I would brainwash her till she agree to put the second option (nearer and higher cop but still meet) as first choice, and her prefer distance school as 2nd choice (6 pts above cop) as backup. I think you are stuck due to her persistent. Sometimes, it take a little logical talk. I just did to convert dd2 mind to forsake a Chinese school. Take note I won't know what school you choose. The risk is the available vacancy of your second choice might reduce by the time it come to you, assuming the first choice can't make it. So you have to consider whether your 2nd choice is a popular school or not.

Child scored 260. Wanted to go MGS SBA ‘O’ levels program. The other option is NJC. Some friends say if choose MGS we are wasting the 260 as 220 can get into MGS through affliation. But my child has no affliation priority. COP for the MGS SBA program is 254 based on last year. Really quite torn between the two.

Your friend's child in GEP?

See the earlier posts in this thread. EEIS COP is 260. Have also confirmed with a few in-the-know.

Since u mentioned NJC, which is an IP school, most important criteria is to ask yourself, honestly -
assess which type of curriculum, best suit her ?
Is it IP or O-level learning style ?

with 260, perhaps can consider :-

1) RGS (IP)

2) National JC (IP) or Dunman High (IP) or Cedar (IP) or St Nick (IP) - remove away whichever IP school, you don't want or not interested in.

3) MGS (O-level) or St Nick (O-level) or SCGS (O-level), etc

(This year 2018, we are not sure if RGS COP below 260, at 260, or above 260)

Assuming she's able to enter RGS at 260 or enter MGS or whichever school she been posted into, once after enter the school, everyone start afresh on equal footing to journey another brand new race, this 260 become history.
